Description

Lemer Pax designs and manufactures radiation protection solutions for the medical, research, industrial, and nuclear protection sectors. The company draws on over 50 years of expertise in this demanding field.

Lemer Pax has entrusted ATRON Metrology with the qualification of its radiation shielding devices, including Novashield Glass—a brand-new, transparent, lead-free composite offering protection against X-rays, gamma rays, and neutrons. It is intended for use in industries such as healthcare, research, aerospace, and space.

ATRON Metrology’s irradiation capabilities made it possible to simulate accelerated ageing of the material under irradiation, in order to assess its ionising radiation absorption properties and monitor changes in light transmission with increasing dose.
