Quality: ISO 17025 Accreditation
ATRON Metrology is accredited by COFRAC in accordance with the ISO 17025 standard, which sets out the general requirements for the competence of calibration and testing laboratories. Our accreditation no. 2-6778 covers the calibration of instruments in terms of air kerma, ambient dose equivalent, or their respective rates, as performed by ATRON Metrology (scope available at www.cofrac.fr/en).
In addition, ATRON Metrology's quality system is ISO 9001 certified. This standard lays down stringent rules to ensure the reliability of results, the confidentiality of data accessed by ATRON, and the impartiality of its teams.
Compliance with these rules requires strict application of defined protocols, scientific and regulatory monitoring, and the ability to adapt to our clients’ specific requirements.
ATRON Metrology’s entire setup—from beam calibration to measurement processes—ensures reliable R&D results and supports the optimisation of our clients’ industrial approach.
ATRON Metrology Patent
At the forefront of innovation, ATRON owns the patent which protects its process and device to test the proper operation of a radiation survey meter.
ATRON Metrology checks the calibration of radiation survey meters in a homogeneous field of X-rays with a broad energy spectrum. The industrial patent is at odds with the usual technologies based on the use of an irradiator equipped with radioactive sources.
ATRON Metrology benefited from the assistance of CNRS/LPC Caen, a laboratory specializing in nuclear measurement, and the guarantee of the CEA/LNHB to connect to the primary beam.
French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection
As a nuclear operator subject to the authorization of the ASNR (the French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection), ATRON Metrology has prepared a file demonstrating the safe operation of its installation. It includes:
- the general operating rules,
- the sizing of biological protections,
- all the measures taken to mitigate the risks associated with all the activities of the installation,
- the analysis of each identified workstation.
ATRON benefits from an authorization issued by ASN under number T500360 which give rise to the regular verification of the correct application of the rules defined during the preparation of this file.
Research Tax Credit (CIR)
ATRON Metrology is approved for the CIR in 2025, enabling our clients to benefit from the Research Tax Credit for research or experimental development activities carried out by ATRON Metrology.
The CIR approval, granted by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI), confirms ATRON Metrology's capacity to conduct R&D work.
The Research Tax Credit encourages companies to undertake R&D activities. Accordingly, our clients can recover 30% of their research expenses incurred through ATRON Metrology (up to €100 million).
