ATRON METROLOGY is distinguished by the innovative method of calibrating instruments for measuring ionizing radiation that it implements, without radioactive sources. This implies the possession and use of a particle accelerator, for which ATRON has just obtained the renewal of its authorization, referenced T500392.
In addition, instruments undergoing calibration or maintenance on ATRON premises may be contaminated, leading ATRON to record the possession and use of unsealed sources.
Finally, ATRON's activities in terms of measurements and analyzes of radiological samples, by liquid scintillation counting, gamma spectrometry or global alpha/beta counting, lead it to hold and use unsealed sources and sealed calibration sources, necessary for the implementation of each of these methods.
