Radiological measurements

Gamma Spectrometry

Based on CERAP's know-how and expertise, ATRON has detection materials in nuclear measurements.

ATRON draws its expertise in nuclear measurements from the heart of the CERAP teams, with 30 years of experience in measuring radioactivity in all complex environments.
ATRON has in particular low background gamma spectrometry chains using a hyper-pure Germanium detector (HPGe) whose low resolution in energy allows an unambiguous identification of the gamma emitters present in the analyzed sample.

Liquid scintillation counting

ATRON teams perform liquid scintillation measurements to validate the absence of environmental contamination.

ATRON has a liquid scintillation counter (LSC) allowing the detection of beta of low energies with a small detection threshold.
This technique allows the detection of the presence of radionuclides such as 3H, 14C, 32P, 33P, 35S, 36Cl, 45Ca, 63Ni or 147Pm in liquid samples or samples collected by smear.
ATRON, through its expertise and organization, responds to the general requirements relative to the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, defined by the ISO-17025 standard.

Radiological characterization of samples

Due to its experience and the quality of its partners, ATRON is your single point of contact for all your sampling services and analyzes.

ATRON prepares your samples according to the standards in force: leaching, steaming, grinding, sieving, etc.
Our testing, measurement and analysis laboratory also relies on a network of partners to offer our customers a wide range of characterization of all types of samples:

  • Physico-chemical characterization: pH, dryness, etc.
  • Radiological characterization: alpha, beta, gamma spectrometry
  • Chemical characterization: fluorides, metals, oils, etc.

ATRON's partners are COFRAC accredited for most of the offered tests, measurements and analyzes.
