ATRON METROLOGY is now COFRAC accredited in accordance with the requirements of standard NF EN ISO/IEC 17025 : 2017 for its activities of calibration of devices for measurement of ionizing radiation.

Since 2019, ATRON METROLOGY has been carrying out the calibration and calibration verification of devices for measurement of ionizing radiation, in terms of kerma in the air and ambient dose equivalent. The method that we have developed and implemented, based on the use of braking radiation from previously accelerated electrons, eliminates the need for radioactive sources and thus constitutes a major innovation in the field of radiation protection.

The Metrology Laboratory for Radiadition Protection (MLRP) of ATRON METROLOGY, in charge of these activities, is now accredited by COFRAC, which recognizes that it meets the "general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" (accreditation N ° 2-6778). This accreditation covers:

  • - Two reference quantities: the kerma in the air from 20 µGy/h to 440 mGy/h and the ambient dose equivalent from 25 µSv/h to 530 mSv/h;
  • - Three beam qualities: X-ray braking radiation fields up to 1.25 MeV, 2 MeV and 3 MeV;

with an enlarged relative uncertainty limited to 4.2%.

This accreditation demonstrates the importance that ATRON METROLOGY places on the validity of the results delivered and the satisfaction of its customers.
