ATRON carried out irradiation of the Varadis RADFETs with a view to their calibration in dose rates.
Varadis provides Radiation Measurement Technology to Astronauts, Government organisations, healthcare and Global Scientific Institutes for over a decade. Varadis RADFETs have become the radiation measurement technology of choice for some of the worlds most prestigious and innovative organisations.
Irradiation was performed in air and at room temperature.
The target dose, that was 10 kGy, has been reached after twenty hours of irradiation at 500 Gy/h, with a beam stability higher than 99.8 % throughout the whole irradiation.
